Over the past 20 years, my experience has combined advising owner-managed businesses in professional practice with senior leadership within a large group of family businesses.
As a Chartered Accountant, I helped businesses with audit, accounts, tax and advisory work, from everyday compliance to more complex commercial decisions.
I then held senior leadership roles across finance, risk, compliance and sustainability within several group businesses, seeing first-hand how these areas shape strategy and everyday decisions.
As part of the leadership team, I supported growth from £75m to £125m, including several acquisitions, and helped improve the systems and processes needed to scale effectively.
Working in commercial businesses helped me look beyond the accounts, understanding the wider pressures behind each decision: time, people, cash flow, risk and competing priorities.
Harbourlight brings those two perspectives together: accounting expertise and practical commercial judgement for the decisions business owners face today, and tomorrow.
